Outdoor Equipment Guide
As scouts, being prepared is crucial for a successful outing, and packing your own equipment is an essential part of that preparation. This guide will help you understand what to bring for a typical weekend outdoors. Ten Essentials
There are ten essential items that all Scouts regularly need during outdoor activities. They can fit in a large plastic bag and be carried by Scouts for day trips or overnights. This includes a pocket knife, first aid kit, water bottle, flashlight, fire starter, extra clothes, rain jacket or poncho, trail food, sun protection, and a compass/map.
