ScoutBook

Troop 67 uses Scoutbook to track troop achievements, trips, and communications. To fully adopt these new features, we need the help of all parents and leaders. Any leader or guardian responsible for troop interaction must log into Scoutbook. If you would like your scout to receive messages and event invitations directly, you must invite the scout to Scoutbook.

How to log in to Scoutbook for the first time

Every guardian has a record in ScoutBook linked to the Troop and their scout(s). To maintain that connection, an account needs to be created from that parent record. If you have not previously logged in to ScoutBook, an invitation must be sent to you to create your account. You should have received an invitation when your child registered.  If you did not receive an invitation, then you may already have an account. Please contact the Advancement Chair to confirm your account or to have the invitation resent. Once you receive the invitation, please follow the instructions below:
  1. Open the email invitation from Scoutbook, and note the username (probably your email address) and your temporary password.
  2. Use the link in the email to navigate to the Scoutbook website.
  3. Press the Login button in the upper right-hand corner of the site and then enter the credentials from step 1.
  4. You will be prompted to update your username and password.
  5. Press “My Dashboard” and open the Administration section.
  6. Click “My Account” and then Edit profile.
  7. Update your contact information including your address and cell phone number so that we have accurate information for all scouting families then press Update at the bottom.

How to invite your Scout to Scoutbook

Only guardians can invite their scouts to Scoutbook as part of the BSA’s youth protection efforts.
  1. Login to Scoutbook.
  2. Press “My Dashboard” and open the Administration section.
  3. Under the My Family section, you should see your scout(s). Select your scout and then press Edit Profile.
  4. Update contact information for your scout and then scroll to the bottom then press “Invite Scoutto Connect.
  5. Enter your scout’s email address on the screen that appears and press Invite.
  6. Your scout will then get an email invitation and should follow the same outlined in the section titled How to login to Scoutbook for the first time.

After you have completed the above steps, you can download the Scoutbook mobile app (See instructions).

How to add the Scoutbook calendar to your phone

To help parents and scouts stay informed about all planned and tentative events, Scoutbook offers a way to subscribe to its built-in calendar so events appear in your phone’s calendar app. Please find the complete instructions at help.scoutbook.scouting.org.
